Product manual
MF840L two-component polysulfide insulating glass special sealant (hereinafter referred to as MF840L) is a two-component, solvent-free, room temperature curing sealant. MF840L has high strength and high elasticity, and has good bonding properties to glass, aluminum alloy and other materials, especially to the L ow-E coated glass after film removal.
MF840L is suitable for insulating glass automatic production line (mechanical construction) and manual production line (manual construction).
Use
MF840L is used for the second sealing of insulating glass, and is widely used in sealing of insulating glass in construction, transportation, refrigeration and other industries. MF840L has good adhesion to glass, especially to L_ow-E coated glass after film removal; it has excellent adhesion to most insulating glass spacer materials, including aluminum, aluminum alloy, stainless steel, etc.

Storage and shelf life
This product should be stored in a cool, dry and ventilated place. The storage period is 12 months. .
Safety
For health and safety reasons, you should check the product label and material safety data sheet (MSDS) before using this product or any product.
Increase, shorten the pot life.
Important: If the mixing ratio exceeds the range of mass ratio 100: (6~12), it may cause bonding failure or change in mechanical properties.
Gluing process: Coating in the same direction to prevent air bubbles from being entrapped in the glue and reduce the sealing performance of the insulating glass.
Curing: It is required to construct in an environment higher than 10°C as much as possible, and not in an environment lower than 5C. The curing speed of MF840L depends on the ambient temperature and humidity.
Newly made insulating glass cannot be cured in low temperature or exposed to rain. Try to make the desiccant completely dry the air cavity, which can effectively avoid condensation on the glass plate; the initial curing 5h can minimize the risk. The newly produced insulating glass MF840L has excellent oil resistance, solvent resistance and resistance to a wide range of chemical substances. It can avoid the sealing failure of the insulating glass due to the incompatibility of the sealant and the glass material, thereby providing excellent protection for the insulating glass. Due to its low permeability to most solvents, oils and plasticizers, MF840L is also suitable for non-rigid warm-edge spacer systems, such as TPS. MF840L has good compatibility with polyisobutylene-based sealants. For gas-filled insulating glass, the minimum thickness of the sealant is 5.0mm. (In actual applications, it should be based on the size and weight of the hollow glass unit, the size of the spacer frame and the glass the glass system design determines the appropriate thickness. )
Limit
Insulating glass prepared with MF840L or any sealant containing polysulfide raw glue cannot be used for hidden frame or semi-hidden frame installation applications (curtain walls), nor can it be used under direct exposure to UV light. The insulating glass prepared by MF840L is specially used for the exposed frame curtain wall.
Instructions for use
Surface cleaning: The surface of the adhered material must be clean, dry, and free of dirt to ensure good bonding performance. The glass surface is thoroughly cleaned manually or mechanically, without film formation and low residue.
Mixing process: The range of the distribution ratio of the two groups of A and B is the mass ratio A:B=100:(6~12). Within this range, the ratio of the two components of A and B can be adjusted to adjust the sealant Curing speed (the larger the amount of B component, the faster the curing speed; the smaller the amount of B component, the slower the curing speed); the mixing should be uniform and no color difference.
It is recommended to use the best mixing mass ratio of 100:10, as the temperature and humidity protection time is less than 24h, it is not allowed to be exposed to the sun.
Cleaning: After the construction is finished, the tools and equipment should be removed with solvent immediately
Uncured material.
Glass assembly compatibility
It is recommended that glass materials be tested for compatibility. Glass materials should avoid contact with any solvents, oils and materials containing plasticizers.
