MF910/ MF910G/MF910T Insulating Glass with Butyl Hot-Melt Sealant: Perfect for the initial sealing of insulating glass, this superior sealant works in harmony with elastic sealant to create an exceptional anti-moisture barrier.
For optimal performance, insulating glass (channel aluminum type) requires a dual-sealing approach to ensure long-lasting durability. The primary seal uses a hot-melt butyl sealant, which is chiefly for sealing, while the secondary seal employs an elastic sealant, providing auxiliary sealing and structural stability. These two elements work together seamlessly, making both indispensable.
This metric characterizes the product's flexibility. The test refers to the recovery value method specified in GB/T 12828. The sample used is a 20mm cube.
Penetration
This index evaluates the product's hardness and softness at room temperature, as well as its hot melt performance and rheological properties at high temperatures. The 25°C value represents the sealant's state during use, while the 130°C value shows its state during application. The test follows the JC/T914 standard, using type A molds and a 5-second test time.
Penetration Tester
Shear Strength
This metric assesses the mechanical properties of the product, focusing on its adhesion to substrates like glass, aluminum, and stainless steel. It's a crucial indicator of sealant quality, tested according to the JC/T914 standard. The sample thickness is 2.0±0.2mm, with a stretching speed of 50mm/min.
Electronic Tensile Machine
Fogging by Ultraviolet Radiation:
This test examines the performance changes in hollow glass under UV irradiation, assessing the UV stability of the sealant and checking for organic volatiles that could affect visibility. Conducted in accordance with GB/T11944 standards.
Low Temperature Flexibility
This test evaluates the product's capability to function in low-temperature environments. It refers to the low-temperature flexibility requirements in GB/T13477. The sample is a φ (5±0.1) mm cylindrical strip with a smooth surface, free of bubbles and impurities. It is placed at -45°C for 5 minutes, then quickly folded 180° within 1-2 seconds. The sample is checked immediately for cracks or breaks.
Dew Point Meter
This critical indicator evaluates the airtightness of the product, serving as a pivotal technical benchmark to ensure the longevity of insulating glass. The experimental method adheres strictly to the JC/T914 regulations.

Extrusion Process
This experiment mimics real-world sealant application, evaluating the extrusion performance of the sealant. We measure the volume of extrusion at a specific temperature (130 ºC), pressure (0.25MPa), and time duration (30s). Higher extrusion volumes indicate superior sealant workability.
