MF889A-25 Silicone Stone Weatherproof Sealant
MF889A-25 silicone stone weathering sealant is a low modulus, one-component elastic sealant. It solidifies after being exposed to moisture in the atmosphere to form an elastic sealant. The product does not contain toxic and harmful substances and is non-polluting to the environment. It can form a good bond with most building materials and provide excellent weatherproof sealing performance. It has a low modulus, high displacement capacity of 100/50 class, strong ability to withstand repeated high and low temperature alternating deformations, and can be widely used in the waterproof sealing of porous materials such as various building exterior walls for residential industrialization and stone curtain walls.

Application Method
Surface cleaning
Remove all the grease, dust, water, stains, frost, surface stains, old sealants, assembly accessories, protective coatings and other impurities and pollutants left in the joints and assembly recesses.
Non-porous materials (such as metal and glass) must be cleaned with a solvent according to the "double-cloth wiping method" on the surface to be glued. In all cases, the solvent must be wiped with a clean, lint-free white cloth. Do not use detergent or soapy water.
Porous materials must be ground, sawed, rinsed (with water, etc.), mechanically ground or combined. The above methods are used to clean the surface to be glued. Make sure that the surface where the sealant is applied is thoroughly clean and dry. Materials such as dust and loose particles should be blown off with non-greasy compressed air or vacuumed.
Use primer
The adhesion test must be passed to determine whether a primer is required. If it is determined by testing that primer is needed, pour the primer onto a piece of non-linting white cloth before injecting glue. Apply it to the surface of the seam to be glued to a thin layer, and air dry in time.
Masking
The area near the seam needs to be covered to ensure that the working lines are perfect and neat. Never allow the masking tape to touch the clean surface to be injected. After the glue injection is completed, the sealant must be trimmed before the sealant is skinned. After the trimming work is completed, the masking tape should be removed immediately.
Padding material
Open-cell polyurethane foam rods, closed-cell polyethylene and non-venting polyolefin materials are recommended cushion materials. For shallow seams, polyethylene tape is recommended to prevent three-sided bonding.

Glue injection method
Install appropriate gasket materials, adhesive spacers or tape as required.
Continuously squeeze the MF889A-25 silicone stone weathering sealant into and fill the joints. When the sealant surface is not yet skinned, press the sealant into the gasket material and the joint surface with appropriate strength. It is recommended to use convex tools to trim the rubber surface into a concave shape. Do not use soap or water as auxiliary materials for trimming.
After finishing the dressing, remove the masking tape immediately.
Be careful not to splash the uncured silicone sealant on non-abrasive surfaces, such as polished granite or other natural stones, because these wet silicone sealants cannot be completely removed with organic or chlorinated solvents.
