Physical and mechanical properties:
Density: The density of EPDM rubber is relatively low, generally ranging from 1.2-1.35g/cm ³ for the dense part and 0.5-0.9g/cm ³ for the sponge part.
Tensile strength: At 100% elongation, the tensile strength shall not be less than 6 MPa.
Tear strength: With high tear strength, it can withstand significant tearing force.

The EPDM composite rubber strip has two types of soft hard co extrusion structures: EPDM and EPDM foam. This structure allows the EPDM composite rubber strip to have better elasticity and wear resistance while ensuring sealing, making it more suitable for long-term, high-frequency sealing applications.
Usage occasions
Due to the more complex structure of EPDM composite rubber strips, they are more suitable for high demand sealing applications than EPDM rubber strips. For example, in the automotive industry, parts such as car doors, engine covers, and trunk that require sealing require the use of EPDM composite rubber strips. For ordinary sealing occasions, such as door and window sealing, water pipe sealing, etc., the use of EPDM rubber strips can already meet the requirements.
The physical properties of EPDM composite materials vary depending on their composition. Generally speaking, compared with ordinary EPDM, composite materials have higher stiffness, strength, and heat resistance, as well as better corrosion resistance and wear resistance.

Feature

1. EPDM has excellent weather resistance, which refers to the ability to resist extreme cold, heat, dryness, and humidity for a long time. It also has corrosion resistance to rain, snow, and water, which can completely extend the service life of the rubber strip;
2. Heat aging resistance refers to strong resistance to air aging. It can be used for a long time at 100-120 ºC, and can maintain effective physical properties for a considerable period of time at 140-150 ºC. It can withstand high temperatures of 230-260 ºC in a short period of time, and can play a delaying role in the event of sudden accidents in urban buildings; Combined with the use of a special formula, EPDM rubber has a similar hand feel between -50 ºC and 150 ºC, creating efficient work performance for on-site installation in production
