Product Description

MF840K two-component polysulfide insulating glass special sealant
MF840K two-component polysulfide insulating glass special sealant (MF840K for short) is a two-component, solvent-free, room temperature curing sealant. MF840K has good adhesion to clean surfaces such as glass and aluminum. MF840K is suitable for automatic production line of insulating glass (mechanical construction) and manual production line (manual construction).

product manual
MF840K two-component polysulfide insulating glass special sealant (MF840K for short) is a two-component, solvent-free, room temperature curing sealant. MF840K has good adhesion to clean surfaces such as glass and aluminum. MF840K has low viscosity and convenient construction, suitable for automatic production of insulating glass.
Line (mechanical construction) and manual production line (manual construction).

use
MF840K is used for the second edge sealing of insulating glass, which is widely used in the sealing of insulating glass in construction, transportation, refrigeration and other industries. MF840K has a good bond with glass, and with most insulating glass spacer materials, including aluminum, aluminum alloy, stainless steel, etc. MF840K has excellent oil resistance, solvent resistance and resistance to a wide range of chemical substances. It can avoid the sealing failure of the insulating glass due to the incompatibility of the sealant and the glass material, thereby providing excellent protection for the insulating glass. Due to its low permeability to most solvents, oils and plasticizers,
MF840K is also suitable for non-rigid warm edge partition systems, such as TPS. MF840K has good compatibility with polyiso-J olefin sealants. For gas-filled insulating glass, the minimum thickness of the sealant is 5.0mm. (In practical applications, the appropriate thickness should be determined according to the size and weight of the hollow glass unit, the size of the spacer frame and the design of the glass system.)

limit
Insulating glass prepared with MF840K or any sealant containing polysulfide raw glue cannot be used for hidden frame or semi-hidden frame installation applications (curtain walls), nor can it be used under direct exposure to UV light. The insulating glass prepared by MF840K is specially used for the exposed frame curtain wall.

Storage and shelf life
This product should be stored in a cool, dry and ventilated place. The storage period is 12 months. No film formation, low residue.
Mixing process: The range of the distribution ratio of the two groups of A and B is the mass ratio A:B=100:(6~12). Within this range, the ratio of the two components of A and B can be adjusted to adjust the sealant Curing speed (the larger the amount of B component, the faster the curing speed; the smaller the amount of B component, the slower the curing speed); the mixing should be uniform and no color difference.
It is recommended to use the best mixing mass ratio of 100:10. As the temperature and humidity increase, the pot life shortens.
Important: If the mixing ratio exceeds the range of mass ratio 100: (6~12), it may cause bonding failure or change in mechanical properties.
Gluing process: Coating in the same direction to prevent air bubbles from being entrapped in the glue and reduce the sealing performance of the insulating glass.
Curing: It is required to construct in an environment higher than 10C as much as possible, and not in an environment lower than 5C. The curing speed of MF840K depends on the ambient temperature and humidity.
